An Interior Design Lover's Guide to Denver

The Atelier Interior Design team has been fortunate to have traveled the world and we can confidently say there is truly nowhere like our home: the Mile High City. A gateway to the Rocky Mountains, many who visit Denver assume the mountains are all this city has to offer, but they couldn’t be more wrong. As interior designers, we are constantly on the look-out for people, places, and things that inspire our creative work. Luckily, we don’t have to venture too far as Denver has all of this to offer and more. From cocktail bars to home decor shops to outdoor patios, there are plenty of spots in and around Denver that act as a perfect backdrop for the ‘gram while inspiring a creative lifestyle.

Whether you’re a fellow interior designer or simply enjoy amazing interiors, decor, and views (who doesn’t?!), we’ve created a round up of our go-to Denver spots. Check out “An Interior Design Lover’s Guide to Denver” below!

Bars & Restaurants

Room for Milly

Room for Milly possesses the Atelier Color, Pattern, Culture vibe all the way - we love unwinding with a cocktail here. Per their website, “Room for Milly is the space we created to explore new beginnings with a mix of cocktails that fancy our delight. We are here to tell a story with friends near and far,  letting the night take the lead.”

Three Saints Revival

As if the fuschia ceiling wasn’t enough to make you want to visit Three Saints Revival, it was voted Best Mediterranean Restaurant in 2022 by Westword. We can attest to this! Along with the playful interior design, Three Saints Revival offers delectable wines, cocktails, and small plates.

El Five

Nestled high above LoHi on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla, El Five is all about the views of the downtown Denver skyline. The menu is a homage to the Mediterranean and features small plates built on bold flavors. Inside, the space is understated and sensual, flanked by a large, open-air patio for sun-kissed Colorado nights.

Art Galleries

K Contemporary

K Contemporary has made a name for itself in the Denver art scene by recontextualizing and informing the dialogue about how we experience art. This artist-centric gallery has a focus on contemporary and conceptual art, while providing visitors engaging exhibitions, pop-ups, art interventions and art fairs. A must-see if you are in Denver and have a love for art!

The featured work has been known to have a “Colorado flavor”. You could easily spend hours exploring and taking in the art at Mirada.

Museums

Museum of Contemporary Art

We love a visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver! Per their website, MCA Denver is “both advancing the field of contemporary art and providing a platform for creative expression, in the broadest sense of the term. We present both world-class exhibitions and quirky events, serious lectures and epic parties. We are both sophisticated and unpretentious.”

Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art

Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art allows visitors to time travel through about 150 years of art. The collections contain over 30,000 works by more than 1,500 artists and designers, with about 4,400 works on view.
