The redo of this 170 square foot Capitol Hill living room stands out due to its drama and boldness. In six months this space was completely transformed.
The challenges were the small budget, cramped space and limited allocation for furniture placement due to windows and door openings.
Our goal was to transform an 8,200 square foot residence into a tranquil mountain retreat which transpired over a two year span.
The massive scale of the dwelling was unwelcoming and severe. Existing materials lacked warmth and the details had no enhancement.
This small living room has a big presence with high ceilings, a dramatic color scheme and custom artwork. A good utilization of space in this North Highlands residence invites people in and inspires them to stay and admire the African and other travel-inspired touches.
