Two Sole Sisters
This is a 1000 square foot; chic shoe boutique in Boulder Colorado took three months to complete. The mission was to relay an urban elegance that was funky, cool and approachable. The inspiration started with a color scheme of gilded tiffany blue and cherry red. We strove to mix the bricks with some glitz.
The challenges for this space were the quick time frame, the low budget, embracing the rough existing shell and maximizing the lighting.
Classic colors, lighting and textiles were mixed with a clean straight forward layout. There is a variety of tactile levels that are delivered with simplicity.
Silver leafed chairs complement the shadow box display windows and the grand mirrors. Italian ruby red chandeliers add bling. Rough brick walls, smooth walnutty wood floors and the tin ceiling are the perfect dichotomy to each other and the rest of the space. Upper end appeal is achieved by the supple velvet curtains banded and gently held back with a coarse braid. Glass cases and benches are boarded by mirrors that show off the footwear and expand the space.
The selected custom furnishings allow the space to flow but are flexible in how they can be utilized allowing numerous merchandising options that give the store a consistently fresh appeal.
